since ari is my sona and is meant to represent me, she doesn’t have any specific lore or belong to any kind of world. she just exists as the face that i portray, so anything i do, she does too.

in terms of her design choices:

her tattoos are representative of challenges i’ve been through in real life:
- the web represents being caught in cycles of abuse that are hidden from my personal view
- the skeleton represents acceptance of death
- the eyes represent self reflection, and paranoia about sense of self
- the semicolon represents struggles with suicide and self harm
she became blind in her eye from impaling herself, and had amputated herself as well, indicating a history of self harm

appearance . . .

ari has medium, slightly tanned skin, with a white right eye and lavender left eye. she has split dyed pink and dark purple hair that goes down to her lower back, usually tied up in a half-up-half-down hairstyle. her nails are often long and painted black.

ari wears a pink corset-like tank top patterned with small black hearts, with bat wings attached to the bust area. the fabric is tied together with a pink ribbon at the front. near her sternum is a black crystal bat head. her top is tucked into a black denim pleated skirt with a short black petticoat underneath. on her right leg, she wears black fishnet shorts. on her left leg, she wears a black sheer sock held in place by a pink metal thigh cuff adorned with silver spikes. she also wears black maryjane-like shoes with about a 4 inch. platform heel. her shoe’s ribbon straps are wrapped around her ankles like a pointe shoe. attached to the side of the ribbon are pink bat wings.

on her right arm, she wears a sheer black glove with a frilled ribbon holding it up to her shoulder. on her left forearm she wears a black and pink striped arm warmer. she also wears black layered chain necklaces and a satin choker. to cover up her injured eye, she wears a black square eyepatch with frilled ribbons along the perimeter. to hold up her hair, she wears pink metal cuffs with silver spikes, similar to the one on her leg.

personality . . .

ari is an easily excited person who presents herself as overly optimistic and happy. she is typically a joy to be around, as she is fun, outgoing, and engaging. ari tends to be carefree about her life to the point of recklessness, where she is a thrillseeker at the risk of her own life, however, she is often aloof and blissfully unaware of this. overall, ari tries to be a ball of sunshine at all times, as she believes that is how life is meant to be lived.

ari loves to draw, paint, write, and participate in creative activities in general. she loves to be social, often having an affinity for party environments or social gatherings. ari has a huge heart for all things cute yet creepy, as she finds beauty in horror.

ari hates feeling sad, or witnessing others be sad. she tends to avoid all negative emotion altogether.

ari has bipolar II disorder and borderline personality disorder! she is the persona that matches more with who i am in real life, albeit, with a more exaggerated personality.
